Project 2 – Review
Carl was assigned to fit our kitchen in December through Wickes. From start to finish his communication, attention to detail and meticulous craftsmanship were brilliant. We were on a tight deadline on the run-up to Christmas and Carl made sure everything was finished in good time without sacrificing the level of quality and finish, often working extremely long hours.
Carl is clearly very experienced and enjoys his craft as he was positive and enthusiastic every day, despite lots of hard work! The whole job caused minimal disruption to our young family despite the scale of the job itself. Carl and his team cleaned up thoroughly at the end of every day (inside and outside) and fitted professional coverings everywhere needed.
A lot of elements of our kitchen were custom built/fitted, which made the job more complicated, but Carl completed everything to an extremely high standard and involved us in every decision and every step of the way. He debriefed us before and after every day and constantly checked in to ensure we were happy with all choices and works, right down to the fine details. Anything we wanted to tweak, he was more than happy to oblige. He was accommodating and organised in sourcing extra parts etc as needed, and picked up our skirting board for us to save us the hassle of trying to get it in the car. The whole project was completely stress-free.
When Wickes customer service proved unhelpful with an issue with our oven delay, Carl ensured this was chased up and communicated back and forth over a range of details to ensure that nothing delayed completion.
Carl also completed many additional jobs for us including hanging a sliding door, full decoration at the end of the fit — which was thorough and a brilliant finish — and fitting a radiator in our hallway too. It was really helpful to find someone with such a large skills set that could complete everything across one job.
We will absolutely be contacting Carl for future jobs and landed lucky with him as our assigned fitter via Wickes. I would recommend anyone to contact him directly through his own company for a kitchen fit.
Carl installed a new en suite and kitchen for me. His work is outstanding, so professional and nothing is too much trouble. As it's an apartment I was concerned about troubling neighbours, but they are all so impressed with how tidy everything was. Thank you so much Carl — see you for a new bathroom soon.
